loveinamasonjar originally started as a result of planning and designing my DIY wedding. I loved scouting for antiques, dreaming up ideas, creating things, and then seeing everything come to life on the big day. I've always loved the simple rustic style, natural colors and earthy textures, so it's only fitting that I ended up working with burlap and lace and mason jars. I loved doing it so much and have always wanted do something creative, so when I ended up leaving my full-time big girl job to get married and start a life with my husband, it felt like the perfect time to try it. And I have loved it. I love the creative ideas from my customers and being a part of their big day, even if it's just with a simple mason jar. While life has become fuller and I still have to have a job to "pay the bills", what I really love is when I get home and get to work with my hands and create beautiful things for others to enjoy. Oh! And if you're curious about the name "loveinamasonjar" - it's not just a catchy name because mason jars are popular - really it means a lot to me. When my husband proposed to me he used a blue ball mason jar that he went and found all on his own, with rose petals and the ring inside. And he TOTALLY surprised me. And he has given me the confidence and support to start this creative venture. And so, that is where it all began. with the love in a mason jar.
